Il protocollo che seguiremo è il seguente:

Chi vuole farsi certificare la chiave pubblica deve fornirla su di un dischetto da 3"1/2 formattato MS-DOS (FAT, VFAT) oppure ext2 contenente la chiave in formato ascii.

Il processo di firma della chiave è subordinato alla possibilità di verificare l'identità della persona che chiede tale firma. Chi vuole farsi firmare la chiave, deve quindi presentare un documento di identità valido all'addetto.

La firma della chiave avverrà con una copia di PGP versione 5.0i su di un computer Linux (ovviamente).

La chiave appena firmata verrà spedita immediatamente ad un key-server attraverso web all'indirizzo: wwwkeys.pgp.net. Il key server è anche visitabile via WWW all'indirizzo http://www.ch.pgp.net/pgpnet/wwwkeys.html.

Su richiesta copieremo sul dischetto la chiave pubblica della conferenza e le chiavi pubbliche delle associazioni che la hanno firmata.

Non verranno accettate firme digitali o chiavi pubbliche generate con programmi differenti dal PGP.

Non verranno generate chiavi private su richiesta. E' prevista una sessione dimostrativa dell'uso di PGP per introdurre gli interessati ai meccanismi della crittografia a chiave pubblica per la protezione della privacy.

We will follow the protocol below:

The public key must be provided on a MS-DOS or ext2 formatted 3"1/2 diskette. The public key must be provided in ascii format.

The key signing process requires the identification of the person who provides the key. Person identification can be accomplished by showing any valid ID document.

The key will be signed using PGP 5.0i fo Linux.

The signed key will be sent to a key server via http. The web site is: wwwkeys.pgp.net. Note: to gather information about this part of the process, please look at the server www pages: http://www.ch.pgp.net/pgpnet/wwwkeys.html.

Upon demand, will be happy to copy conference and organizing associations public keys on the diskette.

We will not accept digital signature or public keys made wit programs other than PGP.

We will not generate private keys upon demand.  A PGP introductory mini course will be made to teach attendees the basics of public key cryptography and it's usefulness in assuring the privacy of the electronic communications.
